Meet the Staff


Dr Jarrett Ferrier
Jarrett Ferrier grew up on his family's farm south of Sedgewick. After graduating high school he attended the University of Alberta for 3 years and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine for 4 years. It was in Saskatoon where he met his wife Evelyn. Jarrett worked as a veterinarian in Wetaskiwin for 3 years and Camrose for 8 years. When Jarrett is not busy being a vet or cattle rancher; he enjoys sailing, skiing and spending time with his family.


Dr Evelyn Duplain
Evelyn was raised on a market garden and bedding plant farm in Red Deer, Alberta. She studied at the Red Deer College and then the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. She graduated in 2000 and has since worked at the Leduc Veterinary Hospital and the Camrose Veterinary Hospital. She enjoys the variety of work involved in all aspects of veterinary medicine. Her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, camping and canoeing. Jarrett and Evelyn were married in 2004 and have 3 young children.

Dr Jennifer Bieleny
Jennifer grew up in Hinton, Alberta. She attended 3 years at the University of Alberta in the faculty of Agriculture. She completed her Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Sk in 2012. Her first job as a veterinarian was in Cold Lake Ab where she worked for 2 years in mixed animal practice. She then worked in Phoenix, Arizona for 1 year before coming home to Killam, Alberat with her fiance Skylar. She is very excited to join the Iron Creek Veterinary Hospital team and enjoys working with a variety of critters. When she isn't being a vet her hobbies include spending time with Skylar and their dogs Evie and Jaydo, running, knitting, snowboarding and travelling. Her veterinary stories continue to intrigue and surprise her human doctor parents.   

Dr Skylar Bieleny
Dr. Skylar Bieleny was raised on a farm in Killam, Alberta. He has spent time training horses and using them to work cattle at the family farm. In 2014, he graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He then pursued further training for a year with Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Centre in Gilbert, AZ. His interests include equine sports medicine, diagnostic imaging, and reproduction. Dr. Bieleny is looking forward to joining the team at Iron Creek Veterinary Hospital.

Kristy Bichel AHT
Kristy was born and raised on a farm near Macklin, Saskatchewan. She graduated from the SIAST Kelsey campus in Saskatooon in 2004 and has worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician ever since. Kristy now lives in Hardisty with her two lovely pups; Chaos and Shredder and her sweet cat Pixie. In her spare time Kristy enjoys gardening, knitting, hiking , camping, skiing and all the joys that come with living on a farm. Kristy loves her job and is excited to be a part of a rural practice close to her family.

Kristi Raasok AHT
Kristi grew up on her family farm south of Irma, Alberta.  She graduated from Lakeland College's Animal Health Technologist program in the spring of 2014.  Kristi has recently moved to Sedgewick to be closer to work.  In her spare time Kristi likes to travel, go camping, spend time with family and friends and also help out on the family farm. 

Roxy Korth AHT
Roxy grew up in Irma, Alberta. After graduating high school, she spent 2 years at Red Deer College before transferring to the University of Alberta. In 2013, she graduated from the U of A with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agriculture. Knowing that her passion is helping and caring for animals, Roxy continued her education at Lakeland College. In 2015, she graduated and became a registered animal health technologist. She now lives in Sedgewick with her three cats: Monkee, Whiskey, and Levi.

Iris Williams Receptionist
Iris lives in Lougheed on the family farm where she grew up. She attended Marvel College and operated a successful business in Killam for 25 years.  After selling the business and taking some time off with family, she felt the need to be around the public again. She is an active community member involved in 4-H and the Lougheed Agricultural Society. She is looking forward to meeting new people and assisting with the business.

Josephine Field Receptionist/Assistant
Josey is from Chicago, Illinois, USA.  She moved to Regina, Saskatchewan to be with her husband in 2010. After the birth of their first child in 2011, they moved to Killam to be close to family. She has always had a love for animals, and is excited to be able to work with such a great team that shares her passion for animals.

Tami Butterwick Groomer
Tami has been an all breed dog groomer for over 20 years & has been showing purebred dogs for 10 years.  As well she is a herding judge & long time breeder, stock dog trialist, & trainer.
